Technology
Washington Union is a leader in technology. In 1998, WUHS became the first high school within the Fresno County Office of Education to provide Internet access to its students.
Prior to obtaining additional funds for technology with the Digital High School Grant (DHSG), WUHS made wiring the entire campus with fiber optic backbone and network cabling a priority. This allowed the DHSG funds to maximize the number of workstations available to students. Today the student-to-computer ratio is only 3 to 1, one of the lowest in Fresno County. There is at least once computer in every classroom and all stations have high-speed Internet access.
