Tardy Policy

Being on time is a basic reality of life in today’s society.  Students are expected to be on time to school and to class and we ask parent cooperation in supporting students to be punctual.  Each teacher will handle the first six tardies as a part of the teacher’s classroom management plan.  Student’s who are tardy to school or class will receive appropriate consequences from the teacher for tardies 1-6.  The following are interventions for the 4th through 12th tardies:

1-3 Tardies Teacher Consequence
4-6 Tardies Teacher Consequence – Lunch Detention
7 Tardies Parent Conference

  • If lunch detentions for tardies 4-6 are not served, then student will receive a one day suspension.
  • Sign a Behavior Contract
  • Placed on a non-activity list* for tardies 8-11, Saturday School for each tardies 8-11

*Will be removed from the non-activity list when Saturday School/s are served.

12 Tardies Parent Conference

  • Sign Alternative Education Contract
