2nd Annual International Day Friday, February 26th

General Announcements No Comments

Our 2nd Annual “International Day” will be held Friday, February 26th.  Once again, clubs are encouraged to participate in the International Food Fair to be held during lunch.  If your group would like to participate, please contact myself or Pearl and we will coordinate everything with the ASB activities office. Your booth should showcase not only food, but also cultural decorations or displays (pictures, artifacts, clothing, jewelry, etc.).  ALL clubs have the chance to participate – just add some ethnicity!

Also, you and your students can participate by dressing in “costumes” from your culture; especially on Friday the 26th.

Finally, we would like each staff member to bring some type of ethnic treat to share with the staff.  We are not talking about anything like a meal; maybe pastries, breads, appetizers, etc.  Bring these during the week of February 22nd-26th and leave them in the Staff Lounge.  Please email me and let me know what you are bringing and it’s history in your culture (where it came from, do you have it at family functions, that kind of thing).  We will be preparing note cards to place alongside each dish so that everyone gets the chance to learn a little about your ethnicity.

More information will be forthcoming and especially if your club will be participating
